Coaching Partnerships

The Coaching Partnerships program supports schools to build their capacity to implement a coaching approach within their school settings to enhance instruction and student outcomes. Research based professional learning is provided by mentors. Schools and coaches are supported by ISQ mentors within the Coaching Partnerships program, through face-to-face workshops, virtual sessions, completion of an online course, and regular communication to implement a coaching approach within their schools. There are three Coaching Partnerships programs offered to independent schools across Queensland.

Coaching Partnerships: New Schools Program

Coaching Partnerships: New Schools Program provides the opportunity for schools to develop coaching as an approach to professional learning and instructional change. Through the provision of funding, professional learning for a coach and ongoing support from an ISQ mentor, schools can implement coaching as an approach to school improvement.

Coaching Partnerships: Continuing Schools Program

Coaching Partnerships: Continuing Schools Program allows schools engaging in Coaching Partnerships in the previous year to further embed their coaching work. Through the provision of ongoing mentoring support for the same school coach, schools can consolidate their coaching approach and build capacity to use coaching for instructional change and school improvement.

Coaching Partnerships: Expansion Schools Program

Coaching Partnerships: Expansion Schools Program allows schools to further embed coaching as an approach to professional learning and instructional change. Through professional learning for an additional or replacement coach and mentor support, schools can expand their coaching approach for school change and select their own focus aligned to the school strategic plan.
