Independent schools in Queensland have been providing high quality educational services to students for more than 150 years.
Our 200 member schools serve communities with a wide variety of social, cultural, geographic and economic backgrounds.
Each independent school is different, offering parents a wide choice for their children's education. Some schools cater for gifted students. Others focus on children with social, emotional or behavioural difficulties. Indigenous students are enrolled at more than 170 independent schools. Many of our schools have church or ethnic affiliations.
Despite their diversity, all independent schools recognise that a quality education requires a strong partnership between parents, students and the school.
