Self-Improving Schools Program

Self-Improving Schools is a flagship Independent Schools Queensland program that supports schools to develop and implement evidence-based strategies for continuous improvement.

More than 80 independent schools are participating in the program to improve school performance,
student learning and teacher practice.

We do this through tailored, one-on-one support for schools to conduct rigorous self-assessments,
identify priorities for change and implement clear action plans for improvement.

Participating schools are allocated a consultant, who offers on the ground, email and phone support throughout the year.

The Self-Improving Schools brochure (Read | Download) and the video below provide more information about the program.

Self-Improving Schools was piloted in more than 30 schools in 2013.  The experiences of three pilot schools, John Paul College, Victory College and Trinity Anglican School can be viewed here.
